Hi, I’m Caitlin (she/her)
I currently have in-person openings mornings & evenings at our office in Webster Groves on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Virtual therapy offers flexibility for Greater Saint Louis & Missouri!
I’m Caitlin, a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (supervised by Machaela Rausch, MS, LPC, NCC 2021011078) based in St. Louis, Missouri. My goal as a therapist is to encourage and celebrate the person you are, and the person you hope to become. I’m passionate about helping people better understand themselves, their relationships, and the experiences that have shaped who they are. My work is especially focused on adults who are navigating complicated family or parental relationships, neurodivergent identity, self-worth, or simply feeling stuck in patterns they don’t quite understand.
I believe therapy should be a space where you can show up exactly as you are and without needing to have everything figured out first. As a neurodivergent person myself (inattentive ADHD, late diagnosed) I want to model this same authenticity for you in our time together. You are welcome to come exactly as you are, and together we can create meaning out of a neurodivergent identity that makes the most sense to you, with or without the labels. While there might be similarities that help with my understanding, each journey is different and the space I hold is focused on what you need.
Additionally, due to my own familial experiences, I am uniquely positioned to work with parents and families of medically complex children. My hope is to support and advocate for holistic care for these families in a safe and comfortable environment, away from the common stressors of hospitals and clinical care.
My Approach
My goal is to create a warm, welcoming, and down-to-earth environment where you feel comfortable being honest, curious, and fully yourself. You are a human, through and through, and I want my clients to feel as expansively human as they can be in our sessions together.
I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment-based approaches, and narrative therapy to help you better understand the different parts of yourself and the stories you carry about who you are.
Sometimes the parts of ourselves that seem frustrating, anxious, critical, or overwhelmed are actually trying to protect us in ways that once made sense. Together, we can become curious about those parts rather than judging them. Through that process, you can begin to understand where your patterns come from, how your relationships have influenced the way you see yourself and others, and what it might look like to build a more compassionate relationship with yourself.
Whether you’re working through family dynamics, relationship difficulties, questions about identity, or simply trying to understand yourself a little better, I believe you already have many of the tools you need within you. My role is to help you uncover them, make sense of what has gotten in the way, and move toward the life and relationships you want.
Deep Passion
I’m very lucky to be in a profession that I feel truly called to do. I genuinely feel the most me when I am with my clients, and I hope that passion and joy that I hold for the work supports the cultivation of joy and purpose in your own life.
Lasting impact
Choosing someone to share your story with is deeply personal, and it can take a lot of courage to take that first step. I appreciate the effort you’ve already made in prioritizing yourself and your well-being. I’d love to connect with you to see if we are the right fit for each other, and regardless of the outcome, I’d love to support you in finding the perfect therapist for you.
When I’m Not Working
I am usually playing Dungeons and Dragons with friends, or having Sunday night dinners with my family. As a St. Louis native, I absolutely love exploring everything the city has to offer, especially our beautiful aquarium and museums!
If I’m not out and about, you can usually find me at home, working on my debut fantasy novel, curled up with one of my sweet cats and a plate of vegan takeout.
